Hi, my name is Lynn.
I am 58 years old and I have been working in care for a care agency for over 16 years. It’s a job I love. I’m a ‘sunny’ happy person with a good spence of humour and a love of animals. I have 2 horses and a cat, Harry Dolly and Ollie the cat. No children, but I’m ‘Honoury Granny’ to my partners 5 grandchildren. When I’m not caring or riding I like to keep fit.
I like to think that I’m easy to talk to. I volunteered as a Samaritan for 8 years but stopped due to lack of time. I will volunteer again when I’m not so busy.
I have cared for people with a range of conditions and disabilities as well as people who are elderly; Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone disease, Cerebral Palsy, Visual and Hearing Impairment, Dementia, Stoke victims, Amputees, Learning Disabilities,
I have received training each year in:
Food hygiene level 3, Dementia, Medication Administration, Moving and Handling, Safeguarding.
I am a very caring friendly person, trustworthy, honest, with a sense of humour. I’m understanding and a great listener. If you are looking for someone to help with your day to day needs, or just need someone to have a little company with, I would love to help. I have my own lovely family, a husband and three children that I adore. We love to go for walks and spending quality time together. I have over 15 years experience in customer service.
I offer a wide range of services. If you find it difficult to get out, I can help you with shopping; picking up prescriptions and pensions. I have worked previously in administration so can support you with administration and communication. I am a good listener and am happy just to spend time with you if you would like company sometimes. I also undertake light gardening and domestic duties. My previous jobs have included pet care and babysitting.
I would describe myself as very kind, calm, caring, mature mother, honest, educated, responsible, capable, very reliable, very friendly, enthusiastic, with a good sense of humour and am a good listener and use my initiative.
My background prior to having my family is Office Management/personnel, I enjoy helping others. Assisting people to stay independent in their homes is extremely rewarding and even though what I do is only small, I believe it adds real quality to their lives.
